Silicone Antifoams

SE Series Antifoams

Description

SE Series Antifoams are highly effective silicone based antifoam emulsions, developed specially for various industrial applications where quick and long lasting de-foaming is required. The silicone content of SE series ranges from 10% – 50%.

Applications

SE Series antifoams are recommended for a wide variety of applications including the following:

  • Textile Finishing
  • Waste water treatment
  • Paint Manufacturing
  • Fermentation & Distilleries
  • Detergent formulations
  • Chemicals’ manufacture & processing
  • Latex process
  • Adhesives
  • Cutting Oil
  • Oil-well drilling
  • Leather processing
  • Fertilizer manufacture

SE Antifoams disperse easily in cold water. For maximum efficiency, product should be diluted with water in 1:1 ratio with mild agitation. Diluted product should be used within 24 hours. Generally, ½ Kg of antifoam per 1000 liters of foaming media is required. However, the exact quantity of antifoam required for a particular application can be determined by experimentation.

Typical Properties

Grade Active Contents Appearance Nature pH SG
SE 10 10% Off white viscous emulsion Non-ionic 7-8 1.0
SE 20 20% Off white viscous emulsion Non-ionic 7-8 1.0
SE 30 30% Off white viscous emulsion Non-ionic 7-8 1.0

Dosage

oaming is a complex phenomenon and as such, pilot testing should be done for maximum efficiency.

MATERIAL SAFETY DATA

Toxicity

The components of antifoam have a very low order of toxicity, although prolonged contact with the skin or eyes may cause some irritation.

Storage & Handling

Antifoam SE should be stored below 35°C. Some settling of the contents may occur with time but this has no effect on performance and product can easily be reconstituted by simple stirring or shaking. HSD-100 has a shelf life of 12 months in normal conditions

First Aid

On Skin contact: Wash with plenty of water and soap
On contact with eyes: immediately wash affected eyes under running water and consult an eye specialist.

Packing

30 Kg Jerry cans, 120 & 200 Kg plastic drums
