Aquasurf is a biodegradable, non-toxic, and non-ionic surfactant designed to work in Sodium base mud. It has thermal stability of more than 200oC.
Aquasurf possesses excellent solubility in all kinds of water base muds, therefore it can be incorporated in different systems working at various pH, specific gravity, and temperature ranges.
Aquasurf is non-corrosive to drilling equipment. Further addition of corrosion inhibitors in Aquasurf composition improves the corrosion combating properties of the whole system.
It has excellent ability to control the rheological properties of water base mud at elevated temperatures. It improves the rheology and filtration control properties of heavy muds at elevated temperatures (150˚C; SG 2.25). Even with small increments of Aquasurf, the flow of mud can be controlled in sever bottom-hole conditions.

For stabilizing flow properties and filtration rates at high temperatures Aquasurf should be pilot tested before use. Required treatment may range from 0.125% to 1.25% (v/v) of drilling fluid. In case of high temperature the required treatment is from 0.5 % to 2.0 % (v/v) of drilling fluid.
Precautions
Spilled material may cause slipping. It can be washed with a stream of water or can be absorbed with absorbing agent like saw dust or sand.
In case of contact with skin or eyes wash with plenty of water.
Aquasurf should be stored in clean and dry environment.
